“Red Water Oolong” is a special variety of Taiwanese oolong with a fermentation level similar to red tea. Red Water Oolongs take oolong as a base, but instead of leaving the fermentation somewhere in the middle, as is usually done, they let it ferment all the way through. This technique combines the subtlety and elegance of oolongs with the warmth and flavor profile of red teas. This particular specimen was made from a Si Ji Chun bush.
Greenish-brown leaves, tightly rolled, transparent, yellow infusion. Juicy fruity-bread aroma with creamy notes. Clean, soft taste with acidity, filled with notes of berries and fruits. The consistency is silky. The aftertaste is sweet and light.
