Unique purple Pu Erh in your cup.

Purple Pu Erh is prepared from the leaves of the same tea tree Camellia Sinensis var. Assamica as the regular Sheng Pu Erh, but purple leaves are used. Anthocyanin pigments are responsible for such an unusual color of the leaves, which are synthesized by the plant together with chlorophyll due to a natural mutation. Purple Sheng Pu Erh is very mild in taste, delicate and sweet, and has almost no bitterness.

Dry tea is pressed into a loose slab. After warming up, the sweetness of candied fruit is noticeable on the breath. The infusion is a deep, rich copper color, with a slight acidity and smokiness on the palate. Jasmine, melon, dates and dried fruit are noticeable. The strong infusion becomes tart, more sour, refreshing.

We recommend brewing purple Pu Erh in a glass vessel to enjoy the color change of the infusion and leaves.
