Sheng Pu Erh Meng Song Sheng Cha, AA, 2022

This Sheng Pu Erh tea comes from the Mengsong tea region in Menghai Province. Large tea trees grow here, producing Pu Erh tea with a wide variety of flavors and aromas.

The medium-sized, dark green leaves with fluffy buds are pressed into a dense cake. They break off with some difficulty, but they don't crumble; instead, they peel smoothly with an awl. The leaf smells of pear, honey flowers, and candy—sweet and enticing, almost perfumed.

The infusion is clear, transparent, orange-peach in color, with the aroma of ripe currants and apples. The taste is candy-sweet, dessert-like, with confectionery notes: watermelon, vanilla, apricot, and strawberry. It lingers steadily as you steep it. The aftertaste is sweet and fruity.

It gently but persistently envelops the body with activity and energy, while leaving the mind unhurried and peaceful.

How to brew

Steaming

• Teaware: porcelain or clay teapot / gaiwan
• Water: 85-90°C
• Ratio of dry tea leaves: 4-5 g. per 100 ml water

The first steeping is for rinsing the tea.

Brew in short infusions of 5-7 seconds, gradually increasing the time by 5-10 seconds.

Infusion method

• Teaware: porcelain or clay teapot
• Water: 85-90°C
• Ratio of dry tea leaves: 1 g. per 100 ml of water

Infuse for 3-5 minutes.
