Ya Shi Xiang Dan Cong, AA, 2024
A fairly large green-brown leaf with a fresh, spicy, floral aroma. When warmed by breathing, the aroma is fresh, spicy, floral and fruity. When brewed, a slight sharpness is added to the sweetness.
The infusion is light green in colour. The taste is light and fresh, with the sweetness of bamboo, freshly cut grass, spinach, guava, acacia honey and strawberries. There is a hint of sourness from lilies, blackcurrants and mint. The bitterness of eucalyptus and anise with a woody undertone. The aftertaste is sweet with bitterness, persistent, voluminous, drying the mouth, slightly astringent. If overbrewed, it will have a tart bitterness, somewhat reminiscent of black chokeberry.
The tea is invigorating, focuses the mind and directs it in the right direction.
