Shan Ge Mao Cha Tie Guan Yin, AA, 2025
A lightly fermented Southern Fujian oolong tea made from raw tea picked from the Mao Cha (unprocessed tea). A unique feature of this tea production is that it does not undergo the final stem removal process. This preserves more essential oils, which impart a grassy, green aroma.
A lightly fermented Southern Fujian oolong tea made from raw tea picked from the Mao Cha (unprocessed tea) in Shange Village, Anxi County. A unique feature of this tea production is that it does not undergo the final stem removal process. This preserves more essential oils, which impart a grassy, green aroma.
The medium-sized leaves are loosely rolled with numerous large stems. The aroma of the dry tea is delicate and subtle, with notes of mown grass.
The infusion is clear, light yellow, and clean, with the aroma of spring flowers and fresh herbs. The flavor is buttery, soft, and slightly sweet, with distinct notes of lilac, light woodiness, and a hint of acidity. It leaves a long, refreshing finish.
This tea is wonderfully relaxing, stress-relieving, and calming.
