Lu Gu Lao Cha Wang, AAA, 2007

The flavour is smooth and full-bodied, creamy and coffee-like, with notes of fine cigars, cognac and spices. With every new sip, new flavour dimensions unfold: the sweetness of chocolate, nutmeg, biscuits, caramel, cream, a light hint of vanilla and a touch of nuts. A meditative tea for an afternoon tea break.

Lu Gu Lao Cha Wang, aged for 18 years.

Medium-sized, spherical black twists with small brown stems. When warmed by the breath, the aroma of baked milk and cooled charcoal is noticeable.

The infusion is cognac-coloured with a rich aroma. Notes of chocolate, tobacco, coffee, cream and caramel are discernible. The flavour is smooth and full-bodied, creamy and coffee-like, with notes of fine cigars, cognac and spices. With every new sip (and this tea can withstand many), new flavour dimensions unfold: the sweetness of chocolate, nutmeg, biscuits, caramel, cream, a light hint of vanilla and a touch of nuts.

The aftertaste reveals a subtle and pleasant tobacco bitterness, charcoal, coriander and a light smoky note. You can also detect a slight metallic saltiness and a hint of tartness.

This tea relaxes the body and clears the mind of distracting thoughts, filling you with a pleasant sense of unity and harmony, allowing you to look deep within yourself and focus on what matters most. A meditative tea for an afternoon tea break.
