GABA Oolong from Alishan, branded for Tea Mail.

A neat, densely pressed cake of rich color with a vibrant aroma of black raisins. Warmed leaves smell of dried fruit, spices, and dried apple peel.

The infusion is clear, clean, and light, with a velvety lemon color, with flavors of white currant, dates, and dried persimmon. The tea unfolds gradually, unhurriedly, allowing you to savor each infusion. Gradually, a slight viscosity of cherry pits, acorns, and nettles emerges.

With prolonged steeping, the tea becomes oily and dense, with a rougher flavor and distinct, smoky, sour notes of prunes.

This oolong combines tenderness and density, softness and roughness, imparting a feeling of surrealism, complete relaxation, and concentration.

How to brew

Steaming

• Teaware: porcelain or clay teapot / gaiwan
• Water: 85-90°C
• Ratio of dry tea leaves: 4-5 g. per 100 ml water

Brew in short infusions of 10-30 seconds, gradually increasing the time by 5-10 seconds.
The flavor remains consistent over 5-6 infusions.

Infusion method

• Teaware: porcelain or clay teapot
• Water: 85-90°C
• Ratio of dry tea leaves: 5 g. per 250-300 ml of water

Infuse for 3-4 minutes.
