Sheng Pu Erh Yu Le Shan, AAA, 2006
This tea was produced at a tea factory in the town of Yu Le and stored in a humid warehouse. It relaxes the body, refreshes, relieves fatigue, and sharpens the mind. A fine example of wet-aged Sheng Pu Erh.
The tea was produced at a small tea factory located in the town of Yu Le. The raw material was harvested from Yu Le Shan mountain. The tea was stored under humid warehouse conditions.
The cake is moderately compressed and easily separated by hand. The dry leaves are dark green, brown, and black, with aromas of damp earth, mushrooms, and wet wood.
The infusion is cognac-colored, with a pronounced aroma and taste of humidity. A soft bitterness of earth, decaying leaves, tree resin, and wet fruit wood can be felt. The sweetness reveals notes of walnut, hay, figs, raisins, and a slight hint of prunes. The acidic tones are represented by grapefruit and meadow flowers.
The tea deeply relaxes the body, refreshes, relieves fatigue, and helps to focus the mind. An excellent example of aged wet-stored Sheng Pu Erh.
