The tea is pressed into a medium-density brick, consisting of large leaves, buds, and a small number of stems. The dry tea has a mature, woody-dried fruity aroma with balsamic and spicy notes. The finished tea has a rich, velvety taste, with woody and dried fruity notes, nuances of dried herbs, flowers, and forest moss. The finish is long, warm, and distinctly sweet.
A pleasant aged Sheng Pu Erh for slow weekend tea drinking. It opens gradually, imparting a feeling of warmth and comfort, refreshing, and inspiring a meditative mood.
How to brew
Steaming
- Teaware: porcelain or clay teapot / gaiwan
- Water: 85-90°C
- Ratio of dry tea leaves: 4-5 g. per 100 ml of water
The first steeping is for rinsing the tea.
Brew in short infusions of 10-15 seconds, gradually increasing the time by 5-10 seconds.
Infusion method
- Teaware: porcelain or clay teapot
- Water: 85-90°C
- Ratio of dry tea leaves: 1 g. per 100 ml of water
Infuse for 3-5 minutes.
