High-altitude Tie Guan Yin tea is produced in Xianhua Village, Fujian Province. The tea plantations are located at altitudes exceeding 1,000 meters: temperature changes slow the development of the tea leaves, allowing them to accumulate more beneficial compounds and develop more complex flavors and aromas.
The hemispherical nodes of the tea leaves are light green and emerald in color. The aroma of the dry leaf is classic Tie Guan Yin: lilac, jasmine, fresh herbs, and citrus. The taste of the finished tea is buttery, fresh, and floral, with notes of wood, caramel, honey, citrus, and fruit. The aftertaste is enveloping, with a slight tartness.
It is perfectly refreshing and promotes a creative mood. It is suitable for both morning tea and quiet evenings.
