Appearance
Thin, dry black tea leaves, rolled into sharp needles, with a smoky, prune-like aroma. When heated, the aroma intensifies, somewhat reminiscent of lapsang souchong.
Taste and aroma
The infusion is clear, clean, and amber-yellow with a red edge. The taste is warm, restrained, and slightly astringent. The aftertaste is brief, with pronounced resinous notes.
Effect
Warming, slightly invigorating, and refreshing. Suitable as morning or afternoon drink.
How to brew
Steaming
- Teaware: clay or ceramic teapot, gaiwan
- Water: 90-95°C
- Ratio of dry tea leaves: 6-7 g per 100 ml water
Brew in short infusions of 10-15 seconds, gradually increasing the time by 5-10 seconds.
The flavor remains consistent over 4-5 infusions.
