Da Wu Ye Dan Cong, AA, 2025

One of the three most common varieties of Dan Cong. This oolong is similar to the famous Ya Shi Xiang: it shares the same growing location and altitude, the same harvest time, but comes from a different type of tea bush. The teas have similar floral profiles, but Da Wu Ye's is brighter and more powerful.

Large, burgundy-brown, longitudinally twisted leaves with a stunning fruity-floral aroma that only intensifies with warming. The infusion is clear, lemonade-colored. The flavor is dense, rich, and juicy, with a slight roughness and woody, berry-fruity notes. There is no bitterness, but a subtle piquant note, like grapefruit, is noticeable. The finish is long, changing from floral to citrusy, refreshing.

This tea has a strong body, so it's important not to over-brew it. Gently invigorates, refreshes, and inspires.

How to brew

Steaming

• Teaware: clay or ceramic teapot, gaiwan
• Water: 80-85°C
• Ratio of dry tea leaves: 4-5 g per 100 ml of water

Brew in short infusions of 6 seconds, gradually increasing the time by 8 seconds.
The flavor remains consistent over 6-7 infusions.
