Adams's rhododendron (Rhododendron adamsii) is a low evergreen shrub with small (1-2 cm long), smooth, thick-skinned, blue-green leaves and small bright pink flowers gathered in tassels. It grows in the mountains under the forest canopy, on rocky slopes, in alpine and lichen-covered tundra and on rocks near the sea.

Since ancient times, shamans and healers in the Far East, Mongolia and the northeastern foothills of Tibet have used this plant, in which the "spirit of the mountains" lives, as a strengthening agent and remedy for colds, stomach and kidney diseases, swelling of the heart and nervous disorders.

Modern scientific research has shown the high content of tannins, amino acids and catechins in the plant. Preparations of Sagan-dail increase immunity, stimulate the kidneys, heart, brain, increase potency, relieve fatigue and withdrawal symptoms.
In dry form are the tops of shoots 2-5 cm long with silvery-green leaves.
The infusion is clear, greenish-yellow. The taste and aroma of the finished beverage is intense and oily. The bouquet contains notes of pine needles, eucalyptus, thyme, barberry and green apples.
