A medium-hot Taiwanese oolong from Niantou. Dark green, hemispherical leaves with saplings. Light yellow infusion color.

Sweet creamy aroma. Notes of caramel and crushed grapes are prominent in the dry leaves. In the finished tea, there's no time for fruit - it's more of a fried skin and sour crumb. The flavor is complex, mostly sweet. The warming produces notes of roasted hazelnuts and a slight woodiness. The texture of the tea is rough. The aftertaste is first fruity, then bread-like.

A full-bodied oolong with character. Uplifting and inspiring. It's good to take it apart carefully, piece by piece. The flavor is still too complex and iridescent for everyday use. Pleasantly drinkable, I feel like stretching it out longer.
