Da Yu Lin or Great Yu Pass is one of the gardens of the Li Shan tea region in Taichung County, Nantou County, with plantations at an altitude of 2,200 - 2,650 meters above sea level. It was here that Fujian tea growers created a new variety of tea bush known as Qing Xing. It is perhaps the world's best lightly fermented oolong, which, in the face of global warming, may soon be history. Production of this tea is limited by terroir, so the finished product yields about 1,000 kg. per year.

The leaf is medium-sized, spherically twisted, with a tiny stem. The dried tea features all shades of green with a lilac and emerald tint. Warmed by the breath, the aroma of the frosty freshness of the top of "Pear Mountain" with floral and berry sweetness and a light creamy note. The water temperature is about 90°C. A porous clay teapot made with Taiwanese oolongs is best. The first spill can be held longer and drunk, or smaller and emptied. In the heated teapot, freshness and acidity displace sweetness, and after the first pour, biscuit and sorrel notes are added to the aroma. The brew is light green, clean and oily. At the bottom of the tea you will find a flexible, fleshy green leaf. No damage or oxidation of the rim was found.
