Lotus Peak is a picturesque peak in the northwestern part of Wuyi's famous cliffs, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains dotted with tea gardens. Near the summit, on a rock, is the Buddhist Monastery of the Mystic Lotus.
Dark and rather large leaves with a turquoise hue, heated by respiration, emit a bright aroma of flowers and fruits, spices and honey. When water of about 87° is added, a thick amber infusion with scarlet flashes is obtained. A rich, rough flavor that stimulates all receptors in the mouth. Don't forget to inhale the aroma of chakhai, as it's not the last place here. The sweetness can be accentuated with various spices, cinnamon, figs, raspberries, geraniums and a touch of baking. The acidity of orchid, mint and bergamot. The rocky melody doesn't fade long either in the mouth or in the head. The tea slows down time and fills with the meaning of this precious moment. A willingness to freeze and quietly observe beauty.
