Gaiwan (Tea bowl with lid) or otherwise Xian Tsai Wan (Tea bowl Three Basics) is a traditional Chinese tea tableware that was born in 1302 in Sichuan province. The porcelain gaiwan with medium-thick walls is versatile and can brew absolutely any tea deliciously. In terms of drainage speed gaiwan will be better than any pot. More often it is made of porcelain, glass and glazed ceramics, much less often of clay. There are different ways to hold the gaiwan, so choose the option that is most convenient for you.
