A weakly fermented oolong from Anxi County, Fujian Province.
One of the most famous oolongs in China and beyond. The tea leaf is emerald green, heavy, tightly rolled, with an herbal, spinach-like flavor. The presence of cuttings in the composition of the tea gives the finished infusion its characteristic tangy astringency.
The color of the infusion is clear, greenish-gold. The taste is light, buttery, with floral and fruity notes and a slight acidity. The aftertaste is pleasant and light.
A good oolong for everyday tea drinking. Simple and enjoyable.
