A famous red tea from Qimen in Anhui province. A light, balanced and refined red tea. You won't find the bread notes and thick enveloping flavor characteristic of Dian Hong, nor the overpowering sweetness and warmth typical of Xiao Zhong. What then are we dealing with? With a subtle flavor composition, the heart of which resounds with freshness and lemony acidity. It's great for repeated brewing as well as brewing in a cup. Compared to other red teas in Qihong, one can be rather unconcerned about an overly strong brew when brewed in a mug or large teapot. The flavor has a universal, somewhat subdued sweetness, with subtle and occasional references to berries and cashew nuts. The finish is light, fresh and fleeting like a gust of wind. It drinks for quite a short time. Nevertheless, the flavor of the brew from the last brewing is full-bodied. The tea works quite classically: it tones and brings out a sense of vitality and inner balance. A solid medium-grade Qihong. Suitable for long brewing - and even particularly suitable for that. Ideal as a beautiful gift for conservative tea lovers. Here, it's better not to overdo the quantity to be able to fully discover what Qihong has to say.
