One of the best steeped oolongs from Wuyishan.
Large oblong twisted dry tea leaves with a chocolate-purple hue have a saturated, warming aroma. The aroma is spicy and tart, with notes of cinnamon, pepper, bay leaf, ripe plums, leather. The infusion is dark golden with red opalescence with distinct notes of cinnamon in the aroma. The taste is delicate and refreshing, soft and sweet, with notes of honey, fruit, cream, with a slight spiciness of spices. The aftertaste is long, complex, pleasantly viscous and spicy.
An ideal tea for quiet, thoughtful, meditative tea parties, but would also work well as a morning tea. Warms, tones, focuses attention.
