Whole leaf with lots of thick red buds. The aroma is thick, heavy, pleasant: musk, wood, coffee beans. The brew has a nutty color, darkens as it is bottled, but does not turn black. The taste is not complex, but harmonious, juicy: coffee beans, nuts, burnt caramel and musk. Quite simple, but pleasant Shu Pu Erh.
A bit weak on pouring, good for brewing in a thermos or mug.
