In Ayurveda, traditional Chinese, Tibetan and Australian Aboriginal medicinal traditions, sandalwood has been used to treat digestive problems, infections, colds, skin and other tissue and circulatory problems, nervous disorders, to regulate sleep cycles, aid sleep and eliminate insomnia valued for its antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal properties.
Pour a pinch of scraps into a cup or pot, pour warm or barely hot water (40-80°C). Cold brewing is also possible. Boiling sandalwood over low heat is also a recommended preparation method.
