A variety of this oolong tea is named for the fact that the round tea leaf resembles an open palm, as well as the leaves of lemon palmitate, a citrus plant also known as Buddha palm.
The dry leaf is brownish-brown in color with a sweet, rich, spicy aroma. The aroma of the heated leaf is reminiscent of fried sunflower seeds, challah and freshly baked bread. The infusion is fiery amber in color, clear, with a subtle berry-citrus-honey aroma. The taste of the tea is round and rich, with berries, spices and citrus acidity, revealing new facets with each sip. Sweet, long, juicy aftertaste.
